HTML - DHTML - CSS
HTML: HyperText Markup Language
DHTML: Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (Advanced HTML Development)
HTML is the language to communicate over the
Internet. The 'basic' and 'inexpensive' way to create web sites
is to use Notepad, Wordpad or MsWord to hard- code HTML. Every computer
has one of these text editors. No extra (expensive) software needed.
Click on your desktop: Start, Programs, Accessories to find one
or more of these text editors on your computer.
CSS - Cascading Style Sheets - is getting very populair. Lots of designers are replacing their TABLE structure with CSS defined tags for cleaner development of web sites. CSS will help to creat a clean designed web site, easy to update and reduced amount of code. CSS can be used to define fonts, colors... but also for structuring a web site.
Dreamweaver CS3 has CSS support integrated in the application.
